I moved to the beautiful town of St. George at age five in July of 1980. Back then St. George had only a few stop lights, and Bluff street didn't exist. I grew up here in town and attended both West and East elemetaries. I have many good memories going to the Woodward sixth grade center, Dixie Middle, and Dixie High School. I graduated in 1992 from Dixie high. I attended both Dixie College and SUU and Majored in French with a History minor and graduated in 1998 from SUU with a B.A. Two years later I graduated with a M. Ed also from SUU. I later have added my Web Development, Business Technology, Educational Technology, and Driver Ed. endorsements. In the last 12 years I've only almost died a few times driving with students, so I guess that's a pretty good record.
I taught my first year at Sultana High School in Hesperia, California in 1998-99, and then returned back to St. George where I taught French and History at Snow Canyon Middle School for six years. In 2005 I had the great opportunity to return to my almamater to teach French, World Civilization and U.S. Government. Since being back at Dixie High as a teacher this time, it has been a blast to hang with my old teachers and coaches Heppler, Wegkamp, Saxton, Fonnesbeck.
A lot has changed since I was in high school such as every student owning a cell phone, but the same awesome "Dixie Spirit" lives on through the students of today. I enjoy filming the football games, attending the plays with my family, and I especially look forward to "D" week which is probably the best high school tradition that I have ever heard of. Well, that is a little about me. I hope to get to know all of you and create some great memories.
