Origins: Constitutional Convention, American people wanted a new government, States' rights empowered by the people, Delegation of powers was preferred... a new federal system.

Origins: Federalism was created after the failure of The Articles of Confederation to create a strong national government. Everyone was mostly for states rights which made everyone be separate and not united. It was decided at the Constitutional Convention that they needed to think of the states as whole and not separate.

I agree! If we gave all that power to the states, it would probably cause another war of state rivalry. But, I think that the government should follow the rules and not abuse their power.
